B.Tech: For admissions into the B.Tech programme, candidates have to appear for JEE Main and JoSAA counselling.

M.Tech: For admissions into the M.Tech programme, candidates have to appear for the GATE exam which is followed by counselling conducted by the institute.

M.Sc: Candidates are required to appear for JAM entrance exam which is followed by counselling conducted by CCMN for admission.

Ph.D: For admissions into the Ph.D programme:

• Candidates need to download the application form from the official website of NIT Sikkim.
• Fill all the details.
• Select the research area.
• Submit the application form at this address along with a Demand draft of INR 500.

NIT Sikkim offers a Ph.D programme under 8 subject/research areas for which admissions are on the basis of entrance exam conducted by the institute or should have qualified GATE or NET exam.
