Avantika University Ujjain, established in 2017, offers four years of full-time B.Des degree across various specializations, namely, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Product Design, Interaction Design, User Experience Design, and Space Design. Admission into its B.Des course is based on the candidate’s performance in the DAT examination conducted jointly by MIT Institute of Design, Pune, and Avantika University, Ujjain. To be eligible for the admissions, candidates must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks as an aggregate.

• Avantika University, Ujjain has announced the application dates and procedure for the 2021 year batch. The last date to fill the application form for the B.Des program is February 28, 2021.
• The Design Aptitude Test (famously known as DAT) will be held on April 4, 2021, and the results for the same will be announced on April 19, 2021.

Candidates aspiring to take admission into the B.Des course must have to appear for the DAT examination conducted jointly by MIT Institute of Design, Pune and Avantika University, Ujjain.

How to Apply?

• To get admission to B.Des program at Avantika University, candidates need to register themselves and fill the online application form of the institute.
• Candidates need to visit the website and select the course B.Des.
• Under the course section, there is an option for applying online.
• Candidates need to fill this application form online only, as the institute does not entertain offline mode.
• The online application fee for the Design Aptitude Test (DAT) exam is INR 3000/-, which can be paid online through debit card/credit card/ net banking or offline payment through Demand Draft in favor of Avantika University.
• Candidates need to upload the required documents, certificates, photographs, and signatures. So candidates should have all that in prescribed format and specifications.
• After that, students will appear for the DAT exam, which student needs to qualify for further rounds.
• The next rounds after the DAT exam are Design Inclination Assignments, Portfolio review, Group Discussion followed by Personal Interview.
• The final selection of the candidate will be done on the basis of the student’s performance in the above-mentioned tasks.
• If a student clears all the levels of assigned tasks, then he/she becomes eligible for admission and needs to visit the institute for further verification of documents.
