Selection Criteria

The selection process for the course happens through the merit score secured by the candidate. The candidate with the best rankings with the superior cut off obviously leads the way in the admission process. Furthermore, the admission process is also influenced by seat allocation (i.e.) seats allocated on the basis of five categories namely general, OBC, SC, ST, and economically weaker sections respectively. These allocations of seats are done under the guidelines provided by the government.

The eligibility for all M.Sc. specialized courses is that the candidates must have a bachelor's degree from a recognized university

Selection Criteria

The selection process is based on the academic merit of the candidate. In other words, the candidates with a greater CGPA/SGPA are most likely to be offered a seat. Hence, the performance in the UG course decides the admission into the PG course.

Candidates must have a pass (minimum 45%) at the 10+2 level from the relevant stream from a recognized board.

Eligibility

•  Candidates for admission to the M.Phil. programme shall have a Master's degree or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master‟s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale
• A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/ Differently-Abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the UGC

The Performance in the Entrance exam and subsequent interview will be considered for the admission. 

• Written Entrance Test or Research Eligibility Test and Interview will be taken for selection of eligible candidates for admission to M. Phil Programmes. 
• KNU-RET will be of 100 marks. Total duration of the Test will be 3(three hours). 
• KNU-RET will have two parts of 50 marks each.
•  Part-I will be on Research Aptitude and Basic Computer Knowledge including 25 MCQ of 02 marks each. This half will be known as the Common Research Aptitude Test. Part-II will be subject oriented.

• The candidates admitted to the M.Phil. programme are eligible to proceed to the Integrated M.Phil-Ph.D. programme
• Candidates who have cleared the M.Phil. Coursework with at least 55% marks in aggregate 

Selection Criteria

• The students who have qualified UGC-NET (including JRF)/UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/SET/SLET/GATE/JEST/Teacher Fellowship holder or have passed M.Phil or equivalent programme shall not be required to appear at the Ph.D. written research entrance test.
• Foreign students will be required to produce clearance from the Government of India for admission to the Integrated M.Phil-Ph.D programme.

Selection Criteria

Those who are seeking admission for M.S.W course will go through a selection test of total 100 marks with the following distribution, the test will be conducted by the college : 

• Written Test - 70 marks
• Viva voce - 30 marks.

 After the selection test, a final Merit List will be published for the admission.
