Odisha State Open University, as the name suggests, is an open university which was established in 2015. With its headquarter in Sambalpur, Odisha State Open University offers 11 Masters courses and 2 courses each of PGDM, Diploma and Certificate.

OSOU offers MA in nine specializations along with M.Com. and M.Sc. courses. Under M.A. and M.Com. courses, the minimum qualification a candidate must have is, the candidate should be a graduate or should have passed +3 in any discipline. For M.Sc., the candidate should have done B.Sc./ B.Tech./ B.E. or BCA. The selection under all the masters’ courses will be depended on the marks obtained by the candidate in the qualifying degree.

Odisha State Open University also offers post graduate diploma, diploma and certificate courses under Rural Development and Rural Management specializations. For Post Graduate Diploma, the candidate should be a graduate and for both, Diploma and Certificate courses, the candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board. The selection for all the courses will be merit based.
