Tata Institute of social sciences(TISS ) Tuljapur is deemed to be a University situated in the temple town of Tuljapur in the Osmanabad district of Maharashtra. It was established in 1986 and has been approved by UGC. It is one of four campuses of Tata Institute.

It provides Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses which are related to rural development one way or the other. The admission process has three steps. The first one was applying for the TISS_NET exam. The forms are available on the TISS official website. The application fee was around 500 (I do not remember exactly) and the form came in January. We had to apply for the exam and choose the exam center. The syllabus was a mix of English, reasoning, and current affairs. The total mark was 100 for 100 questions. Depending on the course we are hoping to be selected for the cut-off varies. I applied for three courses. Two in the Mumbai campus and one in the Tuljaour campus. After the result, I was selected for Tuljapur, the DPPP course. The second round was a DAF, i.e. Detailed application form where we were given three essay types of questions. After this, there was a Personal Interview (PI) round. Although I belong to the OBC category, as I did not have the certificate at that time, I applied from the unreserved category. Overall, the process was smooth.
