Jananayak Chandrashekhar University admissions is carried out through online mode.The admission process for JNCU usually starts in May and ends in August every year (the exact dates may vary). The selection process for all its UG, PG, and PhD courses is based on merit (i.e. marks secured in the last qualifying exam) along with national/ state level entrance exams or university-led entrance exam (JNCU Entrance Test). For admission to all the offered undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD programmes, the university conducts an entrance exam named JNCU Entrance Test. But for admission to BAMS course, the university accepts NEET UG scores.
Further, based on the marks obtained and course selected, the admission committee of JNCU will prepare a merit list of the eligible candidates. Candidates have to check the merit list and report for counselling as per the given date and time. After counselling, the selected candidates will be called for admissions, wherein they have to report to their allotted colleges and pay the admission fee. All the interested candidates must register themselves and apply for the entrance exam to become eligible for the offered courses.
JNCU follows a dual-semester system for all its undergraduate and postgraduate courses. This system has even and odd semesters.
