Agriculture University, Kota was established under the Agriculture University, Kota Act of 2013 by the Government of Rajasthan. The institute is affiliated to ICAR and is known as a State University.

It has jurisdiction over 6 districts of the state which include, Kota, Baran, Bundi, Jhalawar, Karauli and Sawai Madhopur.

Duration: 6 year
Eligibility: Candidate must hold an M.Sc or its equivalent in the applied subject.

Agriculture University, Kota Admission

Admissions in the university are entrance based and depend on the merit secured by the candidate in the Joint Employment Exam (JET). The mode of admission is offline and admissions are done through counselling held at the college.

How to apply?

  • The admission mode at the university is offline and is based on the score in JET
  • To obtain the prospectus along with the admission form, the candidate needs to go to the college itself and obtain it on payment of 1000 rupees at the cash counter
  • The application form and prospectus can also be ordered through post by sending a demand draft of 1100 rupees to the Dean of the college you’re applying at
  • The candidate should carefully study the materials sent by the college and write down the information neatly
  • The application form and the prospectus should be kept reserved as they need to be procured on the day of final counselling or interview
  • The applicant should also come prepared with the required amount of course fee as mentioned in the prospectus on the day of counselling

For Master’s level program admissions are done on the base of merit in Pre- PG test through advertisement done at the national level. The test is conducted by the university itself.
