The Placement Cell at Sigma plays a crucial role in locating job opportunities for Under Graduates and Post Graduates passing out from the college by keeping in touch with reputed firms and industrial establishments. The Placement Cell operates round the year to facilitate contacts between companies and graduates.

• The number of students placed through the campus interviews is continuously rising. On invitation, many reputed industries visit the institute to conduct interviews.
• The Placement Cell organizes career guidance programs for all the students starting from first year. The cell arranges training programs like Mock Interviews, Group Discussions, Communication Skills Workshop etc and it also organizes Public Sector Exam Training for students who are interested to join Government Sectors.
• The Career Development Cell at the Sigma Group of Institutes supports the students in shaping and managing their careers by building key ingredients required for a student to be a complete professional.

Student Start-up & Innovation Policy

It aims to create an integrated, state-wide, university based innovation ecosystem to support innovations and ideas of young students and provide a conductive environment for optimum harnessing of their creative pursuit. This was developed by the Government of Gujarat to implement Student Start-up & Innovation Policy (SSIP).

• Doing activities like events related to SSIP awareness, capacity building, sensitisation of students, supporting projects at PoC/Prototype stage by funding and/or mentoring.
• Financial and/or mentoring support is provided to selected projects under SSIP.
• 14 Projects are supported at Poc/Prototype stage in the year 2020-21.
• Over 5000 students were outreached and sensitised by different events and seminars in year 2020-21.
• 3 patents are filed/published during the year 2020-21.
• 37 events/webinars conducted as a capacity building program in year 2020-21.
