Practicing attorneys will help you develop the oral communication, writing and critical thinking skills necessary to succeed in law school. Whether you are interested in pursuing a career in the law, business or government, the student who majors in general Legal Studies will be introduced to the techniques of successful negotiation and mediation and will have the chance to develop these skills in more advanced courses.
By the end of this program, students should be able to:?
- Identify and explain both federal and state governments and their respective court systems
- Conduct research which effectively integrates primary source material
- Critically analyze and interpret the law; evaluate the legal arguments
- Apply ethical concepts to legal and political situations
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts of all previous education with a course by course evaluation
- Official transcripts must be evaluated by a NACES or AICE accredited agency
- Submitting SAT/ACT score is optional
- Submit English Langugae Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 71 in iBT
- IELTS: minimum 6.0
- Duolingo: minimum 100
