With the Springfield College teacher-coach model in place, this concentration offers you the opportunity to interact with experienced, highly successful coaches in the classroom and on the playing field.?
The curriculum is designed to aid coaches in developing leadership and administrative skills while also improving athletic performance, with courses including motor learning, sport psychology, and strength and conditioning. In addition to the variety of sport and coaching science courses you?ll take, you?ll also enter into a fieldwork coaching experience, often with a college or university athletic team, which will allow you to gain relevant experience for your resume and ready you to begin your coaching career.?
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit one official transcript from each college or university attended
- Official transcripts must be evaluated by any member of the NACES
- Submit essay about significant life experiences that have contributed for development of interest in this field
- Submit updated resume that should include college activities, leadership experiences, work history, community involvement etc
- Submit two letters of recommendation
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 550 in PBT; 213 in CBT; 80-90 in IBT
- IELTS: minimum 7.0
- PTE: minimum 53
- MELAB: minimum 77
