The counseling program at Springfield College develops critically reflective, exceptional, counselors, advocates and leaders.
The faculty of the mental health counseling program want students who possess a passion for learning, a capacity for self-inquiry, an ability to relate to others effectively, and a desire to make a difference.
The program is committed to the preparation of highly qualified professionals interested in licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor
The program is designed to identify the potential and facilitate the development of students through the integration of theoretical and applied curriculum

After the completition of above requirements the candidate will be eligible for a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree with a major in Counseling

Experience in working with people in either a professional, internship or volunteer setting
A strong commitment by working in the field of clinical mental health counseling
