High ranking for selected fields, scholarship, and ideal location (diverse and urban environment).

Course Curriculum

7

The economics curriculum is good but the core requirements are insufficient, it's better to take higher-level classes to get a better grounding. Journalism is very well-ranked but academics are not the main focus, students are encouraged to do extracurriculars and get work experience to prepare them for professional life.

Exams

IB (board exam) - 36/45. SAT (required) - 1460. TOEFL (for proof of English proficiency) - 110/120.

Placement

7

Much depends on the individual student and program of study. In general, it is difficult for international students to study non-STEM programs in the US.

Internship

Did an unpaid internship through the university with a marketing agency.

Events

There are many clubs and organizations available. The houses are in poor to good condition. The urban environment provides lots of opportunities for off-campus events and experiences. The sports facilities are of high quality. Research opportunities are mostly geared towards STEM students.

Scholarship

Shibulal Family Scholarship $20,000/year.

Faculty

8

Introductory classes tend to be large (>100 people). Upper level class sizes range from 25-50 students. The faculty are attentive and helpful. It is best to build a personal relationship by meeting them in person.

Hostel

8

There are several options in terms of the dorm and on-campus housing that vary by status. Off-campus housing is also an option after the first year of graduation. Although the cost of living in Boston is high because it is a metro city.
