Great professors and advisors. I had a previous education experience with them and know their value. I also love that service Learning is a major part of the program. They encourage us to be politically active in our practice.
Course Curriculum
All of the curricula are relevant so far. There are some classes that haven't been the most interesting however they have had little weight to them. I love that the curriculum is based on AONE standards so when I finish, I should be prepared for certification.
Exams
I had to take the GRE. I do not remember my scores however I do know they were on the high average side.
Placement
We are already working professionals for this masters degree. Our advisors try to work our thesis or project around creating a job opportunity for ourselves if we want to. So if you are not happy with your current position you can help create one for yourself.
Internship
I do believe there is some sort of internship but not for my major. I do not know any specifics regarding internships. We do have practicums in our second year however they are not compensated and are a requirement.
Events
I do know there are quite a few celebrated events on campus however I work and live off campus so I do not often participate in them. I know they have a lot of seasonal celebrations and activities as the weather or holidays come and go.
Fees
Tuition is based on block units. 1-6 units cost a certain amount and 7+ is another amount. You also pay for a student representative fee. If you decide to go on a tuition payment plan there is an extra $60 added. Student ID and parking cost money.
Scholarship
Yes, I have. The process is pretty simple. You apply through your aid link account. You can see which scholarships or aid you have been awarded in one area. I've called their office with questions before and they were very helpful.
Examination Structure
As my program is at the graduate level, we only have one exam in research. Most of the graduate level classes are project or paper-based when it comes to your grade. You may have a few classes that have an exam here or there.
Faculty
The faculty have been wonderful. They are understanding that my cohort is made up of working professionals so flexibility is needed. They all are willing to work with our schedules and respect the time we do have to dedicate in class or outside. They offer expert content and give us the resources we need.
Hostel
I own my own home so I cannot say much about living on campus or in a hostel. The school representatives are very helpful with questions like this. I do suggest finding roommates that you can trust. The area immediately around the college is a little rough so if you can commute that would be even better.
