Because of the choices of course offered in this university. Also, the weather in California is similar to my native country. Also, there is also a lot of opportunity for on-campus involvement like Associated Students Incorporated. i.e ASI or other student organizations such as IEEE or fraternity clubs. The College also offers a decent fee structure.
Course Curriculum :
The foundation of a California State University Fullerton is an innovative and thoughtful curriculum developed by faculty who are experts in their fields. The Specialization courses offered in Electrical Engineering are quite a lot.
Exams :
I took the Graduate Record Exam (GRE ) exam and TOEFL to get into the university. I scored 403 in GRE and 90 in TOEFL.
Placement :
I really had a very hard time getting a job after completing my master's degree. I have applied to almost 700 companies but its really a tough nut to crack.
Internship :
No. Getting placements or internship through college is really very tough at least for an international student. Even if we somehow manage to get an internship, The college administration is a pain to cooperate with the students regarding paperwork.
Events :
One of the best events of college is the ASI Spring concert which happens every year in April which hosted thousands of students and famous DJ's or singers. Entry is not free for all. it has always been a good experience.
Fees :
Fees are around 3500$ per course. More the number of courses, the higher the fees. During the summer, we also have cheap courses.
Scholarship :
No. I could not get any financial aid though I tried a lot for various scholarships. The process is all online on the University website
Examination Structure :
It is a semester pattern with 2 midterms and a final exam for most of the courses. For the other courses, it can be just a midterm and one project. which means 50-50% or 25-25-35% and the remaining for quizzes and assignments.
Faculty :
Fine faculty but I think the faculty needs to be improved with more fulltime Teachers and professors.
Hostel :
I managed my residence off campus. I rented an apartment with 4 other roommates which helped bring down the monthly rental, which is very expensive here in California. Housing is cool too but it is more expensive.
