I chose this school because it was close to home, affordable with state scholarships and grants, and it is a great school. It also had a very old time feel to it that I really loved when I went to go tour it.

Course Curriculum

8

I think the course curriculum we had was okay but there was a lot of room for improvement. There were a lot of classes I felt were not necessary in order to graduate and were just made mandatory in order for the school to make money.

Exams

I took the ACT twice. First I scored a 30 and then I retook it and scored a 32. I also took the SAT and scored 2250.

Placement

9

I got hired for a job in nursing at the hospital associated with my university before I even graduated from nursing school. I think that graduating from a top ten public university gives students a lot of opportunities after graduation.

Internship

My college did not provide an internship. We had opportunities to connect with employers through career fairs and other events that would help students be able to get internships, usually for over the summer.

Events

10

Spring housing fair: my university had a huge fair where apartments from all around the city came to campus and gave out free stuff to students to have them sign a lease there. Cultural pop up: celebrating different cultures with free shirts and food.

Fees

We had fees for a lot of different things, we had athletic fees that allowed us to go to certain sporting events for free. We also had fees for online classes and fees for parking as well and also technology fees.

Scholarship

I had to apply for federal government aid through the FAFSA and was able to get grants based on my parents? income. I also got state grants and scholarships because of my ACT scores.

Examination Structure

The exam structure was different for every class taken. Some classes had multiple choice exams and some classes had fill in the blank and short answer questions. Other exams were structured as an assessment since I was a nursing major.

Faculty

7

Some faculty members are great and really know the course material enough to be able to teach effectively. Others do not put in a lot of effort into their teaching.

Hostel

7

During my first year as a student, I lived on campus in a dorm with another student. In the years following that for my sophomore junior and senior year, I lived in an apartment with 3 other roommates. My first apartment had two other roommates and the subsequent apartments I knew all the students there.
