The BA in Sociology provides students with a range of skills that can translate into successful careers that begin right after graduation: our graduates have the analytic and communication skills that enable them to succeed in a broad range of fields. They work in the private, not-for-profit, and public sectors in a range of administrative and front-line positions.Students often combine the study of sociology with other liberal arts or professional fields to acquire double majors. Particularly appropriate are certificate programs such as Ethnic Studies, Jewish Studies, Caribbean and Latin American Studies, and Peace Studies. Sociology majors are strongly encouraged to use their elective hours in Sociology.
