This treatment is provided to cure the patient or to relieve the painful symptoms of the disease (palliation). Small doses of radiation are given over a period of time to add up to a larger dose of radiation. The radiation is given in this manner so cancer cells will die from the injuries they encounter while normal tissues repair themselves in the time between one treatment and the next.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts of high school/secondary school with English translations issued within last 30 days
- Applicants must have a GPA of 2.75 or equivalent on a scale of 4.0
- Submit a transcript evaluation with GPA from an accredited evaluation agency
- SAT/ACT scores are not required unless you want to apply for merit scholarships
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- Submit TOEFL score of minimum 520 in PBT; 68 in IBT
- IELTS: minimum 6.0
- iTEP: minimum 4.0
