I chose this school because it is a small, liberal arts school so I knew that I would be focused on as an individual. I also chose the school-based off of athletics. I run on the track team here so it was important to me that the team and training fit my needs.
Placement
There are no placement and job opportunities if you do not have a federal work-study. While you can get jobs in the city they are far away and to make it you would have to pay for transportation. This makes it so many students don't work.
Internship
Yes, they say they do but Loyola really does not have internship opportunities. I have not heard of any students participating in internships through the school but being near the city they are easy to access.
Placement
I actually work for the career center at my university, however, there are never 'placements' into jobs or internships. The job opportunities are posted on the online job board, however, many of which are unpaid.
I wanted to be in Chicago and have a college that was community-driven. The campus is beautiful and all of my classes are taken in the heart of downtown which was a big selling point for me. I enjoyed the environment when I visited.
