- Students have the option to pursue an Illinois teaching license or add a bilingual endorsement and/or an ESL endorsement to their current license by taking additional courses. Classes are offered in the evening on the Lincoln Park Campus. The program can be completed in two years as a full-time student.
- Students will work with experienced faculty like Assistant Professor Sonia Soltero, the chair of the Department of Leadership, Language, and Curriculum and former director of the Bilingual-Bicultural Education MA/MEd program.
- Students will get the chance to learn from faculty like Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Leadership, Language, and Curriculum, Sonia Soltero.
- Soltero previously served as Director of the Bilingual-Bicultural Education Graduate Program and has been appointed to teams like Chicago Mayor-Elect Lightfoot's Education Transition Team, the National Association of Bilingual Education Dual Language Advisory Council, and the DePaul President Diversity Advisory Council.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students should have completed a bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent from a recognized university.
- Students require a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale.
Language Requirments:
- Proof of English proficiency may be required for international applicants, whose first language is not English.
- Students must be qualified in IELTS or TOEFL to get admission to this program.
International students who currently or will hold a degree from an institution where English is the primary language of instruction, do not need to submit a TOEFL or IELTS score report.
