Students’ studies will prepare them not only for work in the aerospace industry but in any branch of engineering dealing with bodies and vehicles whose applied loads are influenced by aerodynamic forces.
  • UC Davis aerospace science and engineering majors have found employment in nearly all major aerospace companies or in other technical careers related to their majors. Others have gone on to pursue advanced study in engineering or other technical fields.
  • As aerospace science and engineering majors, students will begin their studies with an extensive series of foundation courses in science and mathematics. At the upper-division level, students will take advanced courses in specific topics in aerospace science and engineering. These courses will include subjects such as aero-thermodynamics, propulsion systems, aircraft performance, flight testing, and component and mechanism design.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

  • A high school diploma (or equivalent)
  • Students who are not residents of California must earn a GPA of 3.40 or higher.
  • SAT/ACT scores
    • The University of California Board of Regents unanimously approved the suspension of the standardized test requirement (ACT/SAT) for all California freshman applicants until fall 2024.
  • If students’ native language and school language of instruction prior to their study in the United States were not English, then they must demonstrate English proficiency. They can do so by submitting TOELF/IELTS score reports. 

Indian Eligibility:

  • Students must complete their standard XII years of education and sit for 10th and 12th-year board/state examinations.
