- Psychology is an interdisciplinary program that examines both the social and scientific bases of behavior; and as a premier research institution, UC Davis is home to many leading researchers in the field of psychology. Students will be able to choose between a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science degree and take classes from our five core areas: social/personality psychology, psychobiology, perception/cognition and cognitive neuroscience, developmental psychology, and quantitative psychology.
- Students will begin their studies with a generalized psychology course to introduce them to the subject matter. And after taking the foundational research methods and statistics courses, students will be better equipped to take UC Davis’s advanced psychology courses. Students pursuing a bachelor of science will take a series of mathematics, chemistry, and biological science courses on top of the depth subject matter.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- A high school diploma (or equivalent)
- Students who are not residents of California must earn a GPA of 3.40 or higher.
- SAT/ACT scores
- The University of California Board of Regents unanimously approved the suspension of the standardized test requirement (ACT/SAT) for all California freshman applicants until fall 2024.
- If students’ native language and school language of instruction prior to their study in the United States were not English, then they must demonstrate English proficiency. They can do so by submitting TOELF/IELTS score reports.
Indian Eligibility:
- Students must complete their standard XII years of education and sit for 10th and 12th-year board/state examinations.
