- There is no specific curriculum for the MS degree in except for a breadth requirement, and the student, with the assistance of his/her Advisory Committee, is free to choose that combination of courses. Skill-based programming language courses will not count toward the total graduate credits needed for the master of science degree. Students must see their graduate or master’s thesis advisor to register for any course outside the CU Denver Electrical Engineering Department, which is to count toward their master of science in electrical engineering credit requirements.
- The program offers two plans: Plan One, Master's Thesis, and Plan Two, Course Only Track. In each plan, the student must complete 30 graduate credit hours. To satisfy the breadth requirement, the student is required to take two courses outside the area of specialization. A minimum of 21 credit hours must be from CU Denver Electrical Engineering Department. Students in the master of science program may take one (1) independent study course for a maximum of 3 credit hours toward their degree.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Applicants must hold a baccalaureate degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- A GPA of at least 3.25/4.0 is required to be eligible for the program.
- If students have less than 5 years of professional work experience, they will be asked to submit a statement that outlines other indicators of exceptional motivation, such as solid upper-division performance, GMAT or GRE scores, and other relevant professional experience.
Indian Student Eligibility:
- Students must complete an undergraduate degree with first-class in a relevant field from a highly ranked university in India.
- Or, students completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
