This degree is particularly well-suited for students wishing to pursue a double major in music and another field, for those interested in pursuing academic research in music, or for those looking for a wide-ranging liberal arts curriculum that emphasizes studies in music.?
The Bachelor of Arts degree in music is not intended to be a substitute for any of the professional degrees offered by the Department of Music.
The music fepartment includes 22 full-time faculty, many with doctorate degrees. All full-time faculty are engaged in teaching classes from the introductory to advanced levels.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts of high school/secondary school attended showing all year grades and proof of completion of high school
- Submitting SAT/ACT scores is mandatory for test score pathway
- Students with test optional pathway need to submit an essay or attend a personal interview
- Submit a personal essay about yourself
- Submit a recommendation from your high school teacher or counselor
- Applicants need to submit an audition
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 71 in iBT
- IELTS: minimum 6.0
- Duolingo: minimum 105
- PTE: minimum 48
