Coe College is a selective, private and nationally recognised arts college. It has provided its superior educational experiences for students since 1851. The campus is situated in cedar-rapids which is Iowa's second largest city. It is also only a few hours away from metropolitan cities like Omaha, Chicago, Minneapolis and St. Louis. It is situated in a perfect place surrounded by theatres, religious places, tourist’s spots, hospitals, libraries, Museum, volunteer opportunities, places for outdoor activities and restaurants offering all types of food cosines including Taste of India. The college offers 100% students with an internship, research practice, or an off-campus study opportunity. The college offers more than 60 areas of study covering a range of fields. The college consists 95% of professors having terminal degrees in their respective fields. The college is filled with plenty of activities like 100+ student organisations, clubs and athletic teams.

COVID-19 update

The college’s first priority is the health and safety of the students, faculty and staff members. The college has made some changes according to the Novel Coronavirus conditions which are not implemented permanently:-

  • Facing problems in admission? Consult their ADMISSION COUNSELLOR
  • Unofficial mark sheets are being accepted for the fall 2023.
  • Due to many tests getting cancelled like SAT and ACT you can apply for Coe'sTest optional policy.
  • For international students TOF exams getting cancelled, now they can go for Duolingo test scores which are being accepted by Coe.
  • Only online books are being issued by singing in your Coe account.
  • Coe has not yet made any decisions regarding online classes. It will depend on future conditions.

COE College Campus

  • Coe College campus is about 70 acres and is surrounded by all types of facilities.
  • For their student's involvement, Coe has over 80 clubs and organisations.
  • Being a member of NCAA, Division III and Lowa conference Coe provides excellent opportunities to the students.
  • There are over 40 off-campus study opportunities.
  • Every student of Coe participates in either of the following: student research, internship, community based project or a study abroad program.
  • The college host’s conferences and camps during summer months inside the campus.
  • It is a fully residential college.

COE College Residence

Coe offers a wide range of residence varieties to their students:

  • Halls vary in style, size and personality.
  • Each hall facilitates vending machines, laundry facilities and at least one kitchen.
  • Some halls even have TV and comfy chairs and couches (connection of cable TV and internet).
  • Here are some of the facilities provided to students in their residential halls:-

  • Disability services are also provided for students with medical issues.
  • Following housing facilities are provided here:
  • Armstrong/Douglas:- (300 1st year students)
    • These are air-conditioned halls with bathrooms, Corian-surface countertops, sinks, showers, plumbing fixtures and lightings. The main lobby is provided with a big TV screen, 2 kitchens, tables, computers and comfy furniture.
  • College owned apartments:- (primarily for upper class students)
    • In this housing facility students can prepare their own meals or can also opt for a dining facility. Each apartment has 28-32 students. The apartments consist of single bedrooms, double bedrooms, a shared kitchen and a living space.
  • Greene Hall:- (for males)
    • Air-conditioned rooms with new sinks and lightings in bathrooms. It serves a house for 220 men consisting of 8 floors. It also has a television lounge and a game room.
  • Hampton court:- (80 students)
    • They are 2 buildings consisting of 39 apartment units. They are located in the main Street of Cedar rapids and have facilities like new kitchen countertops and cabinets, new appliances, energy-efficient windows, new lighting and a fresh coat of paint.
  • Kohawk Village:- (primarily for upperclassmen)
    • There are single rooms and double rooms with a shared bathroom. In this housing a comfortable lounge area is provided connecting male wings with female wings.
  • Murray (150 males and females 1st year through senior students)
    • It has nine floors with 2 elevators consisting of air-conditioned single and double rooms, 2 lounges on sides of the main entrance (including television and pool table), a kitchen, study tables and laundry facilities are available.
  • Voorhees:- (for 180 females)
    • t is Cow’s oldest residence having seven floors, and air-conditioned entirely. There are single, double and two-room quads.

COE College Programs

  • Coe provides students with internships, off-campus study and individual research.
  • Coe also provides opportunities where students can learn from industry and academic Professionals around the country and world.
  • Coe offers enhanced programs in which students can receive course credits at universities in France, Germany, Japan, Korea, Northern Ireland, Spain, Sweden and Thailand.
  • Offers a wide range of courses like Art, Biology, Business, English and creative writing, Foreign language, Mathematics and Computer Science, Music, Nursing, Pre-Engineering and many more.
  • Coe offers a First-Year Seminar program where prior emphasis is given to group discussion, small-class instructions and college writing.
  • Coe established the TRIO Academic Achievement Program in 1978. This program is for those students who lack education because of income, education background or some kind of disability.
  • College also organises summer camps.
  • Coe offers an undergraduate degree program. Enrolling in this program will graduate you with a BA degree.

COE College Application process

Application fee: No application fee required

Application deadline:

  • Spring Term: October 1
  • Fall Term: March 1

Supporting documents:

  • Submit an international application for admission
  • Original or certified copy of secondary school mark sheet ( translated into English with the explanation of grading system)
  • Official score of TOFEL, SAT, ACT, IELTS or DET.
  • English language proficiency scores (meet one of the following):
    • TOEFL score of 68 iBT (520 paper-based score)
    • IELTS score of 6.0 (with no sub score <5.5)
  • You have to complete an international student financial statement and documentation of funds sufficient to cover your expenses at Coe.
  • Visa process requires a valid passport, Photographs, Letter of admissions, and Financial documentations
  • Once formally admitted, letters will describe the conditions of acceptance, total cost of attendance and the deadline for submitting the enrollment fee (300 USD). The enrollment fee reserves your place in the incoming class, as well as your room in a residence hall.

COE College Scholarships

  • Aspirants seeking to enroll at the institute are encouraged to plan an estimated budget for international students looking to study in the US.
  • Coe College offers various Merit-based Scholarships and Need-based aid to the potential and outstanding students of the institution.
  • All the Scholarships are either renewable or one time grant by the College. However, for Merit-based scholarships students will need to submit their SAT score to be eligible for it.
  • As for Need-based aid, Students will need to submit the Bank statement showing insufficient funds to cover the tuition fee of the institute along with other legal documents.
  • The amount of the scholarships varies from student to student and from scholarship to scholarship.
  • The college offers scholarships based on the following achievements:-

*Marshall Music Scholarship (up to full tuition fees) Open to prospective students who have the motivation and background necessary to pursue the Bachelor of Music degree.
