The Master of Science in Biotechnology program at Northwestern University is a duration of 15-months. Northwestern’s Master of Biotechnology Program (MBP) prepares scientists and engineers for fulfilling and dynamic careers in biotechnology and associated professions. The extensive laboratory research, integrated coursework, training in current industry practices, and the soft skills necessary to excel in business prepare the graduates to address and lead advances in healthcare, industrial biotechnology, biofuels, cleantech, and more. The MSc in Biotechnology is a full-time and on-campus program.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must have a bachelor's degree in a related field received from an institution.
- Students are expected to have a strong background in organic chemistry or biochemistry or physical chemistry, Biology (e.g., cellular or molecular), or Calculus before entering the program.
- Students required to maintain at least a 3.5 overall GPA.
Language Requirments:
- Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS or TOEFL scores.
- Students do not require to submit GRE exam scores.
International students who currently or will hold a degree from an institution where English is the primary language of instruction, do not need to submit a TOEFL or IELTS score report.

- Resume/CV: Outline of academic achievements and/or awards, publications, relevant work, and/or volunteer experience.
- College Transcripts - The marks statement provided by the education board after completion of the previous academic qualifications.
- Three confidential letters of recommendation: Referees (Teachers, guidance counselors, or Professors) should comment on academics, and that references should submit along with the application system.
- ELP Scores: Students have to submit their English language proficiency scores like IELTS, TOEFL, or GMAT scores.
