The physics major introduces students to the foundational theories of physics: gravity, electricity, and magnetism, as well as quantum, classical, and statistical mechanics. Through the applied components of the curriculum, students receive a comprehensive education focused on the physical methods that create modern technology.
Lab work, along with independent and team research, teach critical thinking and problem-solving accompanied by skills and experience in the use of instrumentation.
Physics is a foundational science in engineering and technology and has deep connections to medicine and material science. Upon completeion of the program, you will have the necessary skills for entrance into graduate study or the workforce. Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts of secondary school and other educational institution attended
- Official transcripts must be evaluated by a NACES accredited agency like WES, Josef Silny and Associates, Inc.
- Submit one letter of recommendation from your counselor
- Submitting SAT/ACT score is optional
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 80 in iBT; 550 in PBT
- IELTS: minimum 6.5
- Duolingo: minimum 105
