It’s been said that music is the language of the soul. At Fresno Pacific University you’ll learn not only to speak in notes, but also the history behind music. You’ll gain a lifelong appreciation for and participate in a rich variety of musical forms of expression. You’ll learn the many facets of music history, theory, technique and application to help you become the musician you want to be. Our major emphasizes performance and combines theory with practical participation in a variety of musical activities, moving you from student to performer.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts of high school attended and university level study
- Official transcripts must be evaluated by an evaluation agency from a list of approved companies
- Applicant should have completed following courses: 4 years of college preparatory English, 3 years of college preparatory mathematics, 2 year of social studies, 1 year of laboratory science, 1 year of performing art, 3 years of foreign language with C- or better
- Submitting SAT/ACT scores is optional
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 70 with (15 in reading, 15 in listening, 18 in speaking, 17 in writing)
- IELTS: minimum score of 6.0
- PTE: minimum score of 48
