We aim to cultivate our students' management, organization, and production of knowledge. Our curricula prepare students for a wide array of professional endeavors, including law, teaching, publishing, technical communication, advertising, media, and business, as well as the pursuit of advanced degrees.

The Department of English offers courses to fulfill requirements for the major and minor in English at the bachelor's degree level. It also offers a program leading to teacher certification, a cognate option in technical writing, and writing courses at a variety of levels, including English as a second language (ESL).
