We aim to cultivate our students' management, organization, and production of knowledge. Our curricula prepare students for a wide array of professional endeavors, including law, teaching, publishing, technical communication, advertising, media, and business, as well as the pursuit of advanced degrees.
The Department of English offers courses to fulfill requirements for the major and minor in English at the bachelor's degree level. It also offers a program leading to teacher certification, a cognate option in technical writing, and writing courses at a variety of levels, including English as a second language (ESL). A Master of Arts degree in English is described in the Graduate Catalog.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts of all previous education completed with a certified english translation
- Official transcripts should contain a course by course evaluation with GPA from an accreditation agency like WES, SpanTran etc
- SAT/ACT score is optional and is required for scholarship consideration
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: all subscores should be more than 18 in iBT
- IELTS; All subscores should be more than 6
- PTE: minimum score of 53
