Students pursuing an MSE option or the MSOR under ISEEM must follow the requirements for either Plan I (Thesis Option) or Plan II (Non-Thesis Option). Both plans require 24 semester hours of approved graduate coursework. Plan I requires a minimum of 6 semester hours of thesis work and the successful completion of the thesis as approved by the supervisory committee. Plan II requires an additional 6 semester hours of approved graduate coursework.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Applicants must have a bachelors degree from an accredited university
- Submit official transcripts of all previous educational institution attended
- Official transcripts must be evaluated by an accredited agency like WES, SpanTran etc
- Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent
- Submit GRE scores
- Applicants must have two years of technical work experience
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 18 in each subscore in iBT; 8 in each subscore of Essentials
- IELTS: minimum 6.0 in each subscore
- PTE: minimum 54
- Duolingo: minimum 105
