Explore your interest in teaching English to speakers of other languages, either in the U.S. or abroad, through UIndy?s undergraduate?TESOL concentration. You've probably guessed that teaching English requires knowledge and skills beyond your native speaking abilities, but did you know that you don't have to be an English major to become a TESOL professional??This 12-credit hour concentration can be combined with any major, and will help you build the qualifications you need to begin your journey as an English language educator.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit high school transcripts and marksheets
- Submit official transcripts of any other educational institution attended
- Submitting SAT/ACT score is optional
- Submit English language proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 60 in iBT
- IELTS: minimum 5.5
- Duolingo: minimum 90
