The department sponsors the?Problem of the Fortnight. The competition is open to all undergraduate students.
The department has an active chapter of the national mathematics honorary?Kappa Mu Epsilon.?Dr. Kime is the faculty adviser. Additionally, the department sponsors a Math Club that is open to all UNK students. Dr.?Boeckner?and Ms. Johnston serve as the Math Club advisers.
Through the generous financial support of former students and faculty, the department is able to award several Continuing Student Scholarships. Mathematics majors can apply each February by logging into MyBLUE.
