- The Theatre Arts Department at CSULB educates, nurtures, and inspires students to successfully embark as integrated, thoughtful, and culturally aware artists into the local and global professional arenas.
- The Master of Business Administration/Master of Fine Arts (MBA/MFA) in Theatre Management is a three-year, full time program (including two summer sessions) offered jointly between the Theatre Arts Department and the Graduate School of Business.
- The program prepares students for administrative leadership positions and provides the background essential for advancement in professional management careers.
- The CSULB MBA/MFA in Theatre Management curriculum emphasizes full-time professionally oriented study of a specific theatre discipline. In addition to academic and professional studies, Graduate Managers work under professional conditions with California Repertory Company (Cal Rep), an integral part of the CSULB Theatre Arts MBA/MFA Program.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must complete a 4-year bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited university.
- A GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required to be eligible for the program.
Work Experience Eligibility:
Students must hold a superior academic record and a minimum of five to six years of work and/or managerial experience.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Students must complete a 4-year undergraduate degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution
- Or, students completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
Scores Required
- GMAT range: 530-650
- Average GPA: 3.24
- GRE score average 156 in Verbal Reasoning and 146 in the Quantitative Reasoning.
