The journalism degree program?focuses on?current practices and methods, while also advancing new and journalistic trends for this rapidly changing digital age.
This major gives all students a broad interdisciplinary introduction to the media and their place in a free society. In addition, each journalism major completes a sequence of courses intended to develop practical skills related to a potential career area.
They offer students laboratory production experience appropriate to their interest area in the campus Student Publications Office, as well as opportunities to gain initial training in a professional environment.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts of all previous education completed
- Official transcripts must contain course by course evaluation and should be evaluated by a NACES accredited agency
- Submitting SAT/ACT score is optional
- Submit one academic letter of recommendation from a teacher or counselor of core subject like math, science, english, history or foreign language
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 85 in ibt;
- IELTS: minimum 6.5
- Duolingo: minimum 120
- SAT: minimum 600 in evidence based reading and writing
- ACT: score of 24 in reading
