Today’s bakeries are often high-tech businesses involving complex equipment, formulations, organization and products. The industry has evolved to include allied companies that provide products ranging from bakery ingredients and flavors to mixes and equipment.
There are two options:
- Bakery Science and Management - Cereal Chemistry Option
- Bakery Science and Management - Production Management Option

The number of positions available for graduates is greater than the supply. It is not unusual for students to have multiple job offers when they graduate. Average starting salaries after graduation are nearly 50 percent higher than the university average.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts of high school and other education completed
- Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 or equivalent
- Submitting SAT/ACT score is optional
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 79 in ibt; 550 in PBT; 213 in CBT
- IELTS: minimum 6.5
- Duolingo: minimum 110
- PTE: minimum 53
