Belmont University Scholarships and Financial Aids

80% of the students at Belmont University receive scholarships and financial aids.International students are not eligible to apply for U.S. Federal Financial aid. However, the students will be considered for merit scholarships.The international students will be considered for broadly two scholarships :

  • General Academic Scholarships-These scholarships are offered on a rolling basis. General merit scholarships range from 3000 -10,000 USD annually. The international students who were considered for General academic C Scholarships for fall had a GPA of 3.7/4(90%-92%) or ACT composite score of 27 or SAT score of 1240.
  • Named Scholarships – The application deadline for named scholarships is December 1. The student who qualifies for the named Scholarship will also qualify for general academic merit scholarships of the highest level which is 10,000 USD. Students with a GPA of 4.66(97%-100%), ACT Composite score of 34, and SAT score of 1500 were considered for these scholarships. The international students can apply for the following named scholarships:
  •  Archer Presidential Scholarships- This scholarship covers tuition, room, board, books, and fees for all four academic years.
  • Faculty Scholarship- This Scholarship offers students 15,000 USD per year.

The students will be considered for these scholarships based on outstanding academic, extracurricular, and leadership achievements.

Belmont University Work While You Study

Belmont University provides opportunities to students to work on campus. There are two different kinds of employment offered: Belmont Student Employee and Federal Work-Study.

  • The international students can apply for Belmont Student employees. Job fairs are conducted and job postings are also posted on the official website.
  • To be eligible for employment opportunities on campus, students must be enrolled and pursuing a degree program. The graduate students can also apply for employment and these will be different from the internships, Assistantships during the course of their program.
  • International students with F-1 and J-1 Visa status are eligible to work on campus.
  • The work hours cannot exceed 20 hours per week during the normal course of classes and 40 hours per week during summer.
  • The international student must obtain a Social Security Card before they start working.
