Master of Science [M.S] (Microbiology and Molecular Genetics)
Field of Study:
$15,072/Yr
The Graduate Program in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics (abbreviated as the MMG program) is part of a large, diverse, and highly interactive community of biological scientists that form the Graduate Program in Molecular Biosciences at Rutgers University and Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. This consortium is currently made up of five graduate programs from the two adjacent universities and functions to coordinate the recruitment, admissions, and first year core curriculum of Ph.D. students, as well as helping our students in selecting Ph.D. research advisers from among the more than 200 faculty members on campus. The MMG Program currently has approximately 121 faculty members from a number of departments in the areas: molecular genetics and microbial physiology; virology and pathogenic microbiology; applied, environmental and industrial microbiology; and computers in molecular biology. Additional or alternative studies are designed to meet individual needs. Thus graduate students have the opportunity to select additional study areas in their work.
