The Bachelor of Science Geological Sciences at University of Rochester program is designed to give students the background for graduate work and professional careers in the earth and environmental sciences, and in those areas in which the earth sciences overlap with the life sciences or with engineering.

Teaching is hands-on, with state-of-the art laboratories and field trips essential components of the degree program. Undergraduate students are encouraged to participate in faculty research, with opportunities for active participation in data acquisition projects worldwide. Undergraduate students work side-by-side with graduate students and faculty, maximizing the learning and teaching experience.
