The purpose of the Physical Education Teacher Education (PETE) program is to prepare students as successful teachers of physical education and for professional licensing to teach in K-12 schools. Through their training in this program, graduates make a valuable contribution to society by promoting active and healthy lifestyles.

The graduate Coaching Wellness Program prepares students to work alongside health care professionals to facilitate behavior change in various populations, and the research-oriented MS and PhD programs are suited to those wishing to engage in the scholarship of human movement.
