The Department of Electrical Engineering offers both doctoral and masters level degrees. The major areas of research and instruction in the Department are semiconductor materials, microelectronic manufacturing, nanotechnology, VLSI design, digital signal processing, communication theory, wireless communications, microwave engineering, power systems and controls, network theory, cybersecurity, and biomedical materials and imaging.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Following are the academic requirements of the program:
- Students must complete a bachelor’s degree from an approved regionally accredited institution (or international equivalent).
- A minimum grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.00 (on a 4.00 scale) is required.
- Students from countries where English is not the official language, and who have not earned at least a bachelor’s degree in the U.S. from a regionally accredited institution, must also demonstrate proficiency in the English language.
