- Food science students interested in food processing and engineering can benefit from studying with faculty members researching topics including the effects of thermal processing on fats and oils, bioprocessing, state-of-the-art novel processing technologies, heat and mass transfer analysis, rheology, the use of acoustic ultrasound in processing, production systems modeling and optimization, and development of bio-based, biodegradable resins, and plastics.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Applicants must hold a baccalaureate degree in a recognized field of biological, physical, agricultural, or engineering science or in a related field from a recognized institution.
- A GPA of at least 3.0/4.0 is required to be eligible for the program.
Indian Student Eligibility:
- Students must complete a 4 year Bachelor's Degree with first-class in a relevant field from a highly ranked university in India.
- Or, students completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
