The program is intended to prepare students for careers as practicing statisticians, to provide enhanced research expertise for students pursuing advanced degrees in other fields, and to strengthen the mathematical and statistical training of students preparing for PhD studies in statistics or a related field. The M.S. degree requires 32-36 hours (8 or 9 courses) beyond the prerequisites. There is no thesis requirement for this degree. The entire program must be approved by the Graduate Advisor before a degree can be awarded.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Must have a bachelors degree from an accredited college in a relevant field of study
- Should have minimum GPA of 3.0 on a scale of 4.0
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 79 in IBT
- IELTS academic: minimum 6.5
- Duolingo: minimum 115 required
Indian Student Specific Requirements:
- Must have scored 55 or more in bachelors degree
- Must have completed 4 years bachelors degree or 3 years bachelors degree + 2 years masters degree
