  • The master of arts degree requires successful completion of 33 credit hours of graduate coursework in which students explore the principles, practices, and contexts relevant to the study of communication. In addition to the required ten core and additional focal courses, students will complete a Preliminary Examination and Degree Capstone, as described below.
  • As an option, and with program approval, students may substitute up to two graduate courses (up to 6 credits) from outside of Graduate Studies in Communication that complement program offerings.
  • The Master of Arts in Communication also has a partnership with the MBA program and GWS certificate program.
  • Many courses will be offered with a flexible blended format combining distance education and campus instruction to provide convenience for students.
