Brandeis University's Department of Near Eastern and Judaic Studies (NEJS) bears a proud tradition of scholarly excellence in the fields that it embraces:
- The study of the Jewish people, including their history, religion, literature and place in civilization;
- The history, languages, and culture of the Bible and ancient Near East;
- The study of Arabic and Islamic civilizations.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Applicants must have completed a four year bachelors degree from an accredited university
- Submit official transcripts of all previous education completed
- Submit a resume that should highlight your current and recent work history
- Submit a statement of goal in 500 words addressing why you want to pursue graduate degree and how it will help in achieving professional and personal goals
- Submit a letter of recommendation from a manager or supervisor who can access your workplace performance
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 100 in iBT
- IELTS: minimum 7.0
