Economists study how markets work and analyze the behavior of business organizations. They also investigate the forces and trends that influence our standard of living, the fraction of the population that cannot find work, and the rate at which prices rise.

Otterbein offers both a bachelor of arts and a bachelor of science degree in economics. Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Requirements:

  • Submit official transcripts for four years of high school/secondary school
  • Transcripts must be sealed and stamped by the school and test scores should be sent directly from high school/testing agency
  • Official transcripts must be evaluated by a NACES accredited agency like WES, ECE, SpanTran
  • Submitting SAT/ACT score is optional
  • Students can also submit three letters of recommendations which is optional
  • Submit English Language Proficiency test scores

English Language Requirements:

  • TOEFL: minimum 79 in iBT; 550 in PBT
  • IELTS: minimum 6.5
  • PTE: minimum 53
  • Duolingo: minimum 105
