The Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering is a four-year ABET-accredited program that includes a capstone design project in the 4th year.
Building upon WPI’s strength in Mathematics and Basic Science, the program delivers a broad foundation in Engineering Sciences related to the built environment.
Building upon WPI’s unique strengths in project-based education, Humanities, and Social Sciences, the program prepares its graduates to become responsible leaders within the field of sustainable building design.
As students work to earn a degree in Architectural Engineering at WPI, they will focus on developing technical skills in four core areas: structural systems, mechanical systems, electrical systems, and construction/construction management.
In addition to general courses for architectural engineering, students may focus their design proficiency in either the structural or mechanical area with electives like Design of Steel Structures, Pre-stressed Concrete Design, and Building Energy Simulation.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Students must have an official secondary school transcript to get admission with a minimum 3.0 on a scale of 4.0 GPA.
Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS or TOEFL scores.
Obtain a score of 61 or higher on the PTE English section.
