- The School of Social Welfare offers students opportunities to specialize in social work practice with aging, and in evidence-based interventions for people with mental illness.
- In the MSW program students first, complete a generalist curriculum that provides foundation knowledge and skills for social work practice with diverse populations across a range of settings. Then students choose a practice method concentration.
- The clinical concentration focuses on social work practice interventions with individuals, families, and groups. The macro concentration focuses on community organizing, policy advocacy, and non-profit organization management. Along with student's classes, they will complete internships at agencies with missions to address social and economic problems.
- Most students complete the 60-credit Master of Social Work through two full years of graduate coursework and field instruction.

Academic Eligibility:
- Students must hold a bachelor’s degree from a college or university of recognized standing.
- Students must achieve and maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE scores.
Indian Students Eligibility:
- Students should submit required official and complete individual mark skeets for each examination attempt, including subsidiary exams.
- Photocopies of student's mark sheets are accepted only when they are attested by the University Registrar or Controller of Examinations and placed in a sealed, stamped envelope that is sent directly to the Graduate School.

International applicants are required to apply for an F-1 or J-1 student Visa. As per the application process of universities in the USA, a student needs to have the following basic documents to procure a US student visa.
- A valid passport that has a validity of a minimum of 6 months after students stay in the country
- Form DS-160 (Nonimmigrant visa application confirmation page)
- Application fee payment Receipt
- Form I-20 if applying for a Student visa (Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student Status)
