English Language Proficiency Requirements
International students must submit acceptable proof of English language proficiency. The accepted tests and minimum score requirements for various levels of program are as follows:
One can fill the English proficiency waiver form, only if:
- Applicant is a native English language speaker.
- Have attended a regionally accredited U.S. college or university, and have
- received a "C" or better in a course equivalent to UAA's Writing 111 course, or
- obtained a bachelor’s or master’s degree from a regionally accredited U.S. college or university.
Visa Process for International Students
After completing the application process, international students can apply for a U.S. student visa. The accepted students will be sent an I-20 form that will be used to obtain a student visa. To apply for a F-1 or J-1 visa to study in the U.S., students must complete the online application and provide required documents along with the form at the U.S. Embassy located in their home country.
