The B.A. in Communications has five concentrations from which to choose: Communication Studies, Journalism, Public Relations, Television/Cinema and Theatre.
Extracurriculars include: Monday Night Film Series, Film Club, Public Relations Club, Bell Ringer newspaper, Phoenix magazine, annual speech contest, theatre productions, and Lambda Pi Eta National Honors Society.
Scholarships: Communications Majors are encouraged to apply for departmental scholarships. Information is available in the main departmental office in Allgood Hall.

The Television/Cinema experience educates people in all types of skills, including filming, writing, performing, and editing. In addition, it provides background classes in both the history of television and film, film appreciation, and documentary filmmaking. By the time they graduate, students have identified their abilities and interests and are prepared to enter any of the many areas of television, video, and film - from filmmaking to national and local TV, from cable to industrial and educational video, as well as academia.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts of all previous education completed
- Official transcripts must contain course by course evaluation from an evaluation service such as WES, ECE etc
- Submitting SAT/ACT score is optional
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 69 in IBT and 45 combined in reading, listening and writing sections
- IELTS: minimum 6.5
