The Co-op placement year (internship) is the most attractive part of the university to me. The facilities and faculties are very well renowned but I believe the year of paid work and hands-on experience will truly provide an upper hand when looking for a graduate position after my studies.

Course Curriculum

I would prefer more flexibility with first-year subjects rather than each unit being a compulsory unit in the Bachelor of Business (marketing) - Applied degree, however ultimately experiencing a diverse range of units is beneficial to my future career in whatever field I decide.

Internship

Yes. For those in an applied program, the third year or the four year degree is a co-op placement year. This year is a paid internship in the business of our choice. I am very much looking forward to partaking in this opportunity as the hands-on business experience is invaluable when looking for graduate positions.

Fees

As RMIT is a Commonwealth supported institution, I was able to apply for a HECS student loan to cover fees at university.

Examination Structure

An exam worth 50% of one's overall grade at the end of the semester is the most common assessment at RMIT. Throughout the year group tasks and assignments contribute the remaining 50%, allowing us to be assessed in multiple ways.

Faculty

My experiences with the faculty at RMIT thus far are they are all very educated about the course content. I have found my lecturer, in particular, to be informative and engaging.
