The Accounting major prepares students for entry-level positions in areas such as managerial accounting, taxation, or auditing.
The program also helps prepare students for graduate studies in accounting and/or other business-related fields.
However, students who have completed 45 semester hours and who have a cumulative grade-point average of 2.75 or above are eligible to take 300 - level business core courses during the second semester of the sophomore year.
A student can complete no more than two internships in business administration, each carrying no more than three semester hours of credit.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

The academic requirements of the program are:

2.5 or higher high school GPA (on a 4.0 scale) or comparable GED or HiSET score

Or, rank in the top 50 percent of your graduating class
Or, have successfully completed 12 units of college preparatory work with a grade of “C” or higher.
